For the past four years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a great local Fox Valley charity as my time as a Marketing Coordinator at Proto-1 Manufacturing. In 2018, the Children’s Cancer Family Foundation (CCFF) reached out to Proto-1 Manufacturing to see if we would be interested in manufacturing and donating awards for their Gold Ribbon Gala, an event held to raise money for families battling pediatric cancer. We agreed without hesitation and have had the opportunity to make these awards for their gala every year since. The award is called The Big Heart Award and it goes to three youth recipients who are actively helping other families battle pediatric cancer. These awards are then presented to the three recipients along with a $1,000 scholarship. The Gold Ribbon Gala serves as a major fundraising event for the CCFF but the work they do goes well beyond that. It is because of their hard work, that local Wisconsin families are able find a sense of normalcy during difficult and financially tight times. I invite you all to check out the CCFF and the work they do at their website here, and if you can, donate.

When I started shooting photography, I always had the goal to create something that was bigger than myself. While I may not be creating something as grand and noble as a local charity, after seeing and hearing all the work that the CCFF does for local families around me, I have decided I want to help where I can through my photography. With every print that is sold, 10% of the sale value will go toward the CCFF as an annual or bi-annual donation (depending on sales). This opportunity allows me to create an avenue to give back to my community through my photography. When you buy any artwork from me, not only are you supporting me, but also local families around me. Even if you haven’t bought a print from me, thank you for taking the time and interest to be here.
Much Love,
Seth Johnson
